Explains which cookies are used on ortogon.com.tr, for what purpose, and how you can manage your preferences.
01Current status
No advertising or tracking cookie RUNS on this site, and there is no third-party tracking code. Visitor statistics are measured with a cookie-free tool; because nothing is written to your terminal device, explicit consent is not required. [[VERIFY: legal review]]
No tracking cookie is written to your browser and your behaviour is not tracked.
A cookie preference dialog appears on your first visit. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage; this record exists only to remember your preference, is strictly necessary in nature and requires no consent.
We use Umami for visitor measurement. Umami is an open-source, cookie-free tool; it writes nothing to your browser, does not fingerprint you and does not track you across sites. Measurement is carried out on a legitimate-interest basis (KVKK Art. 5/2-f) and is enabled by default. You can switch it off from the cookie preferences panel; if you do, the provider is never called. [[VERIFY: legal review]]

02What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. It is used to operate the site, remember your preferences, or collect usage statistics.
Under Turkish data protection guidance, cookies are divided into those strictly necessary for the site to function and those that are not. Explicit consent is required for the latter.
03Cookie categories
Categories shown in the cookie preference dialog:
- Strictly necessary
- Language redirection, security and remembering your cookie choice. No consent needed; cannot be disabled.
- Preference cookies
- Not used — language is set by the URL (/tr, /en).
- Analytics
- Visitor and page-view statistics via Umami. Umami SETS NO COOKIES, does not fingerprint and does not track people across sites. Enabled by default on a legitimate-interest basis; can be switched off from cookie preferences.
- Advertising / marketing
- Not used and not planned.
04Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to the in-site preference dialog, every browser lets you block and delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
05Hosting and infrastructure
The site is hosted on cloud infrastructure. The provider may keep access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) to deliver the service and maintain security. These are not cookies and are not used for marketing.
